We have used the Illumina Metabochip and HumanCoreExome BeadChip arrays and the 1000 Genomes imputation by SHAPEIT and IMPUTE programs to discover novel genes and their variants playing a role in the pathogenesis of common chronic diseases. We have applied the genome-wide association study (GWAS) and genetic risk score (GRS) approach to study the role of genetic factors and lifestyle-gene interactions in the development of common chronic diseases.
